Sherwood Forest Elementary School is a science and art theme school. In the science class room all of our students explore all areas of science. We encourage the students to investigate using inquiry and hands on activities.

KINDERGARTEN
We will be studying the weather this 9 weeks. Can you forecast the weather by looking the clouds? What kind of star is our sun? How does the position of the sun affect shadows?

FIRST GRADE
This 9 weeks we be discovering the three states of matter. What is a solid, liquid and a gas? We will also look at the stars, especially our favorite star - the sun.

We will be learning about the cloud types and what they mean. We will also learn how to read a celcius thermometer. What is the difference between Farenheit degrees and Celcius degree, do you know?
