Who was the author of Charlotte's Web?
For those of you who do not know, the author was E. B. White.

What do we know about E. B. White?

White was an American reporter, plus and editor and author.  Other books that he wrote were Struart Little and The Trumpet of the Swan.  Most of you probably do not know this but Mr. White lived on a farm like the one in Charlotte's Web. He wrote this story because of the way that he felt about his own pig on his farm.  While these feelings were happening about his pig, Mr. White was watching a spider also.

What does the E. B. stand for?
Mr. White's name is Elwyn Brooks White.  Not too many people know this.

Poems:
There are many types of poems out there to write.  We are going to learn how to write a animal limerick.  A limerick is a rhyming poem that solves a problem.  Lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyme and line 3 and 4 rhyme with each other.  Here is the form that this poem has to follow:
Line 1:  states the situation
Line 2:  states the problem
Line 3:  states the cause
Line 4:  states the effect
Line 5:  states the solution (resolution)

Example:
There was an Old Man in a Tree,
Who was horribly bored by a Bee;
When they said, "Does it Buzz?"
He replied, "Yes it does!
It's a regular brute of a Bee.
