The Bed of Nails, Tornado of Fire and Vacuum Gun!
These are just a few of the show-stopping demonstrations in our world famous Science on the Road shows that get students excited about science. Bring The Science House to your school for one of these mind-blowing, hair-raising demonstration shows!
Physics on the Road is an electrifying demonstration program for large groups of middle and high school students. A bed-of-nails for a student to lie on, liquid nitrogen to make a rubber ball shatter against the wall, and a hair-raising Van de Graaff electrostatic generator are examples of equipment often used in this presentation of physical principles. Some demonstrations use balloons, a bicycle wheel, or other common items to show that everyone is a physicist.
Demonstration topics include:
Newton’s Laws of Motion
Sound Waves
Fluid Principles
Electrostatics
Force and Pressure

Chemistry on the Road is a spectacular demonstration show that will get your students excited about chemistry. Choose between two programs.
- Material Matters explores the states of matter and displays some fascinating physical and chemical properties.
- Polymer Productions offers a prolific profusion of polymers in an interactive demonstration show.
Because of the nature of the demonstrations, Chemistry on the Road is more appropriate for class size groups (30 or less).

Safety
Various SOTR shows utilize liquid nitrogen, dry ice, and/or open flames. Science House demonstrators will take care to present in a safe and responsible manner. If these materials are prohibited by your school's Chemical Hygiene or Safety Plans, please inform us in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
