Administrator Observation

The North Carolina Modeling Instruction Workshops provides professional development opportunities in physics, physical science and chemistry content and research-based, reform-oriented pedagogy. A key factor in the success of this project is the community of learners comprised of teachers, administrators, high school and college students, and college faculty.

We invite principals, district science coordinators and other administrators to visit and observe the modeling workshop for a day and to discuss the program with participants. By completing the application below, you indicate your willingness to support your teachers in implementing Modeling instruction in their classrooms. Stipends of $100 are available to support administrators observing the workshop.

Not all applicants will be selected as project participants. Selection will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, or disability. If selected to participate in the Science House Modeling Program, the participant authorizes the release of program application materials as well the release of video tape, audio tape, photographs, questionnaire responses, or any other materials for use in program development, research publications, or project promotion.
