Since calculus is a freshman year requirement for many science and technology majors in college, a student who is not prepared to take calculus her first semester in college is at a significant disadvantage. To ensure that your daughter has the option of a scientific major she needs adequate high school preparation. The following chart shows one timeline for getting to calculus, although certainly not the only one possible.
