So
that she can choose....
from
the Pleiades Project
Since
calculus is a freshman year requirement for many science
and technology majors in college, a student who is not
prepared to take calculus her first semester in college
is at a significant disadvantage. To ensure that your
daughter has the option of a scientific major she needs
adequate high school preparation. The following chart
shows one timeline for getting to calculus, although certainly
not the only one possible.

may want to request her Algebra Aptitude test score to ensure
that she is developmentally ready to adapt to the abstract
thinking required in Algebra I.
