Application Process

The program, for rising ninth graders, introduces students to the science of optics and photonics. Upon successful completion of the program, students will earn a scholarship stipend and have an opportunity to participate in Photonics Leaders.

Photonics Xplorers registration is open for Summer 2009 to rising 9th graders.

Applicants must complete the pre-registration form online and meet the additional requirements:

  • Maintain a B average or higher.
  • Complete online pre- registration form (below).
  • Send a $25 pre-registration fee and recent report card by February 20, 2009.
  • Full application must be received by March 14, 2009.
  • Attend a required Parent/Student Orientation on March 24, 2009, 6:30 pm.
