• Species of trees were chosen and pictures were made of the branches of both wild and domestic types.

• Images were cleaned and converted to 1-bit (monochrome) bitmaps.

• Branching patterns were analyzed using the fractal dimension program utilizing the box method.

• The results of the pattern analysis were examined for differences in fractal dimension.
