Experimental Details
The contour maps of the mountain ranges were found on the Internet. They were processed and altered to work in the fractal analyzer program, which was developed by Bar-llan University, and is appropriately named Fractal Dimension.
Once the maps were uploaded into the fractal analyzer program, two methods were used to determine the fractal dimensions: the box method, and the circle method.
The results were recorded and reviewed to determine the relation between the average elevation of the mountain ranges and their fractal dimensions.
