Mini Grant Support Information

 


The following resources will help programs apply for NGCP Mini-Grants.
Remember: Only Programs registered and publicly viewable in the NGCP Program Directory are eligible to apply for Mini-Grant awards!

Mini-Grant Application Categories, Descriptions, Info Needed

 Mini-Grant Application

The online Mini-Grant Application from http://www.ngcproject.org/mini-grant/index.cfm, is the way to apply for an NGCP Mini-Grant Award.

Lead Program

To apply for a single Mini-Grant, there must be a single Lead Program, registered in the Program Directory by the person applying for the Mini-Grant (Mini-Grant Applicant). The Lead Program must be publicly viewable in the Program Directory. Mini-Grant Applicants need to know the name of the Lead Program.

Project Title

An informative title for the Mini-Grant Project.

Project Description

Short (3-5 sentence) text description of the Mini-Grant project.

Project Contact Info

Name, E-mail Address, and Phone Number for one person who will be the point of contact for the Mini-Grant Project.

Collaborating Program(s)

The Mini-Grant Applicant selects, by Program name, one to four Programs (in the NGCP public Program Directory) as Collaborating Programs.

Mini-Grant Applicants should know Collaborating Programs’ name(s) in the NGCP Program Directory and have discussed the Project thoroughly with each of them.

Project Goals

A concise (2-4 sentence) statement of the broad outcomes / goals the Mini-Grant Project, if successful, will achieve.

Project Objectives

One to four carefully-structured, measurable objectives that target a specific audience (the online application will assist applicants in writing these objectives).

Project Reporting

Each Mini-Grant Applicant will be asked whether the Lead Program already reports total number of participants, number of girl participants, age/grade and ethnicity of participants, number of volunteers, and number of staff.

Project Scope

For the Mini-Grant Project, each Applicant will be asked to state the number of participants (students, adults, and paid staff/volunteers); age/grade range of target audience; and ethnic breakdown of students (male, female separate).

Assessment Activities

The types of assessment activities involved in the Mini-Grant Project.

Will a Mini-Grant Project engage one group of participants for a week or longer?

Research Based Strategies

Will a Mini-Grant Project focus on informal learning or assessment & evaluation?

Itemized Budget

Each Mini-Grant Applicant must provide an itemized Mini-Grant Project budget.
