Coral bleaching is a symptom of the stress that occurs when water temperatures

exceed the coralâs maximum tolerable temperature range. Corals

typically grow in warm tropical waters between 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit.

Coral bleaching occurs when sea temperatures rise or when other stresses occur

That cause the corals to expel their symbiotic algae.
