Jacksonville
Satellite Office
The Jacksonville satellite office is located
at Northside High School in the Commons area of Jacksonville.
Northside High school is a 9-12 school built
in 2000.
The Jacksonville Office serves
science and math teachers of Onslow and surrounding counties
providing them with CBL and MBL technology workshops,
CBL/MBL equipment on a loan basis, technical support,
and technology curriculum integration support.
Through generous funding from The Department
of Education the Jacksonville satellite office extends
the services of The Science House providing high school
science and math teachers access to training and equipment
including laptop computers, graphing calculators, and
a variety of probeware. Research has shown that the use
of such equipment promotes exploration and helps students
see technology as a tool for learning.
