Internship partners are critical to the success of the Photonics Leaders II (PL2) program. The PL2 program is always seeking partners within North Carolina State University and area business and government agencies to provide job shadowing/internship experiences for the PL2 students. This event is a maximum of three days on site at the partner’s work site.

If your organization can join with our team in mentoring and preparing, future, Photonics Leaders with a unique limited experience, please feel free to enter your information in this mentor survey and we can call and discuss your options.

Summer Job Shadowing Suggestions for Mentors

• Provide a tour and overview of the workplace
• Hands-on experiences, as time permits
• Interview time for students to acquire information about your organization/job and workplace
• Discuss tips for succeeding in the workplace

Job Shadowing Completion
Upon the conclusion of the internship,

• Mentors should complete this Mentor Evaluation survey and
• Students should complete the Mentorship Reflection survey

to provide insight into the experience you provide and the student’s participation.
