Newsletters

Focus On A Scientist: The "Focus On A Scientist" newsletter is an electronic newsletter sent out several times a year. Each issue contains an interview with a scientist in the NSF Science & Technology Center for Environmentally Responsible Solvents and Processes. The interview is written to be accessible to students of all age levels. A picture of the interviewed scientist is included. Each issue also contains a classroom activity associated with the scientists work. These activities are also accessible to students of all age levels. If students or teachers have questions about any of the science, clarification can be provided by us or through our "E-mail a Scientist" program (located under the "Meet Scientist" menu"). For more information, or to view on-line issues, visit the main page for the newsletter under "Meet Scientists".

The Science House Newsletter: The Science House puts out a monthly electronic newsletter. The newsletter outlines current activities and events associated with The Science House. These events include educator workshops and opportunities for students to participate in science related programs. To join the list visit http://lists.ncsu.edu/cgi-bin/mj_wwwusr and type science_house in the mailing list box. Enter your email address on the next page and click subscribe.

NC Newsletters: There are many other newsletters available to educators. A list of related North Carolina newsletters, and other resources, can be found at http://www.science-house.org/info/comm.html.
