EXPERT: EXperimental Program for Education through Research & Training

Then the EXPERT Program at NC A&T may be right for you!

EXPERT is a four year undergraduate research and development program sponsored by the Chemical Engineering program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T), the National Science Foundation's Center for Environmentally Responsible Solvents and Processes (CERSP), and the National Science Foundation's Discovery Corps Fellowship program (NSF CHE). The goal of EXPERT is to provide the experiences and confidence needed to persue graduate degrees. EXPERT also provides $9,800 over four years to each participating student. To participate in the EXPERT program you must:

  • Apply and attend NC A&T

  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1000

  • Maintain a B average in high school

  • Major in a science, engineering or mathematics field

  • Remain in good academic standing while attending NC A&T
