Activities

What can I do with students? What can I do at home?

This section contains hands-on science activities associated with our scientists' work. You can learn more about our scientists' work by choosing "Meet Scientists" from the left hand menu. The activities are separated into two main kits: Carbon Dioxide and Polymers. We use these activities when we complete class visits. We have done these activities and know they work. However, we recommend that you try any activities yourself before attempting to complete them with a group. Don't forget to check out pictures of our activities by choosing "Pictures" from the left-hand menu.

We would like you to share your experiences with us. This feedback helps us improve our activities and helps ensure future funding. Please let us know what experiences you have had with our activities by filling out the form found under "Share With Us". We appreciate all comments, including those from parents, teachers and students.

There are many other activity resources available on the Internet. We have selected a few that we like and posted them on our links page. Choose "Links" at the bottom of the page and then select "Activities" to view these.

We have additional resources for educators. To go with the "Teaching Tips" already located on our activities, we have an entire section devoted to you. You can reach this area by choosing "Educators" from the menu. Please post any ideas you have for using our activities in the classroom on our idea swap message board.
